What ever happened to the "common-sense underwriting" on loans that conform to the the product guildlines? I have a FHA loan with an 80%LTV 680 Fico Borrower has enough assets to cover the mortgage payments for well over 24 months and because the DTI is a little high the loan has been turned down a few times and the borrowers have been waiting to close for several months now. Now i have a Investor who has given us an approval but now the appriasal needs new comps cause the recent sales are dated?! Now we are running another risk on the value of the home? robert@essexmtg.com
