National City Corporation Lowers Prime Rate to 7.75 Percent National City Corporation (NYSE:NCC) today announced on behalf of its subsidiary banks that it has lowered its prime rate to 7.75 percent from 8.25 percent, effective immediately. The rate was last changed on June 29, 2006, when National City raised its prime rate to 8.25 percent from 8.00 percent.
