Bob Roth Joins Cornerstone Advisors as Senior Director

Cornerstone Advisors is pleased to announce it has added Bob Roth to its team as a senior director.

'We are excited to have Bob on board,' said Scott Sommer, Cornerstone president and CEO. 'Bob is well-suited to head up Cornerstone's Risk Management practice. His keen I.T. security and regulatory awareness will enable him to provide professional guidance to our bank and credit union clients that are working to increase their preparedness against threats and adverse events at their institutions.'

Under Roth's direction, Cornerstone will offer I.T. Disaster Recovery Assessment, Information Security Program Assessment and Business Continuity Planning Services to its clients.

Prior to joining Cornerstone Advisors, Roth was information technology director/CIO for $8 billion Capitol Federal Savings Bank, Topeka, Kan., where he led the department through a complete refresh of the bank's I.T. infrastructure, a project involving 17 vendors with a total cost of $7.2 million. Before Capitol Federal, Roth served as technical services director at Payless Shoesource. Before Payless, he was programming manager for 1st National Bank in Topeka.

Roth is certified by the Disaster Recovery Institute as a Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP). He holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Computer Science from Washburn University, Topeka, a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Baker University, Baldwin City, Kan., and is working toward an MBA at Washburn.
