Stan Braden and Jirair Garabedian Scheduled to Speak on Residential and Retail Mixed-Use and the Design of Horizontal and Vertical Solutions From Concept to Construction

IRVINE, CALIF. - KTGY GROUP, INC., Architecture and Planning, is pleased to announce that Stan Braden, AIA, Chairman and Principal, and Jirair Garabedian, AIA, LEED AP, Studio Director have been invited to speak at the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Mixed-Use Development Conference, “From Breaking Ground to Cutting Ribbon,” held August 21-22, 2008 at the Grand Hyatt in San Francisco, Calif. Braden and Garabedian will be the speakers at the session, “Residential and Retail Mixed-Use and the Design of Horizontal and Vertical Solutions From Concept to Construction,” on August 22 at 1:15 pm.

Braden, with over 35 years of retail, residential and mixed-use expertise, is focused on the design and planning of high density apartment, condominium, and continuing care retirement communities. Most recently, he has been instrumental in the design of Pacific City located surfside at Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) and First Street in Huntington Beach, Calif. Working in collaboration with KTGY Retail Principals Albert Croft and Greg Lyon, Braden has taken the design from concept through detailing, and Pacific City, a 31-acre luxury master plan development, is now approved and on the verge of breaking ground.

Garabedian, with over 14 years of experience in high density architecture and planning, is focused on creating sustainable environments in multi-family, faculty and student housing throughout California. Notable projects include Riverfront in Petaluma, Calif., which won a Gold Nugget Award in 2006 for Best-On-The-Boards Site Plan and the redevelopment of Triangle Square in Costa Mesa, Calif. Both Braden and Garabedian, who are based in the firm’s Irvine office, will bring valuable insights to the creation of market-driven, quality mixed-use designs.

KTGY is a leader in high density planning and architecture, most recently receiving the highly coveted Gold Nugget Grand Award for the Best Mixed-Use Project for Market Lofts in Los Angeles, and various other successful designs such as the 8-story Aqua Via Apartments in Oakland, Harbor Place Lofts in Anaheim, and Bank Lofts in San Pedro.
