Sutherland Asset Management Corporation Announces Filing of IPO Registration Statement

Sutherland Asset Management Corporation announced today that a registration statement on Form S-11 has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding the initial public offering of Sutherland Asset Management Corporation, a newly organized real estate investment trust that will acquire non-agency and agency residential mortgage-backed securities, residential mortgage loans, asset-backed securities and other financial assets. The company will be externally managed and advised by Waterfall Asset Management, LLC; an affiliate of M.D. Sass-Macquarie Financial Strategies.

Sutherland Asset Management Corporation intends to list its common stock on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol 'SLD.' UBS Investment Bank and Keefe Bruyette & Woods will act as joint book-running managers and Macquarie will act as co-manager for the proposed offering.
